FAQs

How do wood floors affect allergens?

Wood floors DO NOT absorb dust mites, mold or pollen. Wood floors are ideal for those with allergy problems.

How long will my wood floor last?

Wood holds it’s value and does not go out of style! Properly installed and with proper maintenance, a nail down wood floor will last the life of the house.

How do I take care of the floors?

While some wear will show in traffic areas, this can be minimized by proper maintenance, placement of area rugs, and keeping pets’ nails clipped. Wood floors will hold up well to children and pets!

What is the best way to clean wood floors?

Proper maintenance includes dust mop, vacuum and a light damp mop, which will allow your floors to look good for many years. When necessary, you may wipe up liquid with paper towel and dry.

What affect will humidity have on a wood?

Humidity affects all the wood in a house, not just the wood floors. When humidity rises, wood expands; when humidity drops, wood shrinks. Keeping the air conditioning and heating systems at a comfortable level should help minimize this process.
